The Presidents Message
By President Donna Chmara

2021-2022
Thank you for visiting the Polish Arts Club of Trenton website.  Our members are Polish Americans from various walks of life, who pool our talents and energy to further these shared interests and who enjoy being with each other.  We meet the first Monday of each month at Leonardo's II Restaurant in Lawrenceville NJ.  As you read through our website, we hope that you will consider joining us in furthering our goals of fostering an appreciation of Poland's rich cultural heritage and to contribute to our scholarship fund which is used to encourage Polish Americans to pursue higher education.

The Polish Arts Club of Trenton was created in 1946 by a group of ordinary people of Polish descent with extraordinary vision, commitment and energy.  Together they transformed their vision into the reality that is the Polish Arts Club of Trenton.  Here is a list of our Charter Members.  They started the club with family, friends and neighbors.  They invited local, national and international artists, writers and other representatives of Polish arts and culture holding the initial meetings in their homes.  We owe these founders of the Polish Arts Club of Trenton a debt of gratitude and as we continue to make their vision a reality.

Over these past 76 years the Polish Arts Club of Trenton has awarded over $390,000 in scholarships to outstanding high school seniors of Polish ancestry, who enter institutions of higher learning.  Here is a list of our fantastic 2022 Scholarship Awardees.  If you have or know of an outstanding senior of Polish descent in the Trenton and suburban area high school, please have them consider submitting a Scholarship Application for consideration in 2023.  We continue to sponsored Polish artistic, cultural and educational events and activities as we fulfill our other goal, to maintain and promote our Polish heritage and customs, and our connection to our beloved Poland.

Please consider joining us as a member, or by attending our activities.  Visit our web page for upcoming activities.  Join us at our Christmas Oplatek Dinner which is held on the first Sunday in December at Leonard's II in Lawrenceville, NJ for an afternoon of good food, good company and of course, traditional Polish Christmas Carols (Koledy).  I also invite you to attend our annual Polonaise Ball and Scholarship Luncheon which will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2023 at the Trenton Country Club.

If you would like to know more about our organization, browse through our website, feel free to come to one of our meetings, attend an event, contact us on Facebook, or contact one of our officers.  Once you do, I am sure you will want to add your talents and energy to fulfilling our goals.  Please feel welcome to fill out a Membership Application.  I look forward to hearing from you about our website and to meeting you at one of our meetings or activities.

Best regards,

Donna
